The Agathos Foundation provides Southern Africa's AIDS orphans and elderly with a familial environment in villages that allow them to achieve healthy, prosperous, and fulfilling lives by meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs critical to their well being. The One Race One Village concept builds on Agathos’ aims to provide capital funds in order to develop self-sustaining farming villages in these communities.
We seek to raise funds and publicity for the mission and activities of the Agathos Foundation and the people it serves.
That’s great, but everyone has a good cause.
So give me one good reason why I should support THIS race?
This race is one-of-a-kind in that it supports real, relevant change in the way communities bond together to support the least fortunate. We want to support a group of people with real faces and names who are suffering in quiet in the farthest corners of the continent. Whether it's through sponsorsing, donating, or collecting pledges YOU can help!
Pledges
The pledge program is designed for YOU to personally make a difference to the orphans and widows in Africa by raising additional funds and awareness for the Agathos Foundation. You can do this by collecting contributions from family, friends and colleagues.
- Pledge checks (no cash) should be made out to the Agathos Foundation and mailed directly to Agathos, along with the Pledge Form Below.

If pledge money raised is $100 or more, we will waive your race participation fee. Instead of mailing, bring the Pledge Form and pledge checks on race day to Day-of Registration booth.
